"House in House!"
Space for Imagination, Thinking,
Creativity, and Convergence!

Taking advantage of the high 3.6-meter ceiling, “Soo & Story” creates a village-like atmosphere with “houses within a house,” rejecting the cramped and monotonous spaces typical of conventional academies.

Four small classrooms are connected visually to the multipurpose classroom and entrance reception area through interior windows, minimizing the sense of enclosure. Interior windows of varying sizes and heights stimulate children’s curiosity, while their frames are designed to offer possibilities for displaying educational materials or being used as bookshelves. The multipurpose convergence classroom evokes the feeling of a semi-outdoor space, while sliding blackboard walls allow the degree of spatial division to be adjusted according to different events and activities.

Individual box-shaped units come together to become furniture, walls, and ultimately space itself. Multiple smaller spaces exist within a larger space at varying scales and dimensions, while the arrangement and combination of geometric color planes aim to convey the underlying principles of the world to children in a simple and playful way.
