Gwangalli Thematic Beach Walk
Master Plan
광안리해변 테마거리 재정비 마스터플랜
A Festival Beach for Everyone to Enjoy Anytime
Today, Gwangalli is home to a variety of tourism and cultural resources, including the Eobang Festival and drone shows. Through the integration of these contents, Gwangalli has the potential to develop into a global landmark that attracts people of all ages, backgrounds, and purposes.
Despite the concentration of various attractions and activities at Gwangalli Beach, the synergy between these contents is not fully realized due to the aging of various facilities in the theme street area. Therefore, the goal is to unlock Gwangalli's potential through comprehensive improvement of the beach environment.
By reflecting Gwangalli Beach's unique characteristics and identity, the plan involves creating a differentiated theme street and marine landscape design. Analyzing domestic and international trend changes, the project aims to attract the MZ generation, enhance convenience, and increase the duration of visits. The plan includes identifying themes and spatial designs that facilitate these goals. Additionally, by connecting the tourism resources and contents within the target area, the project seeks to establish key spaces and symbolic facilities that generate synergy. This will involve creating a design-related plan, including a master plan, which can be incorporated into future basic and detailed designs as the project progresses. The plan will suggest specific directions for the creation of theme streets and facilities, ensuring that they can be implemented step-by-step.
